Lunch
OVERVIEW
The menu lacked allergen information and a separate allergy menu. The online menu may not reflect current offerings. This was an anxiety-provoking dining experience. There were no clear indications for allergy sufferers. We had to make assumptions about gluten-free options. The cook made substitutions for safe choices, which was helpful. Overall, it was a challenging dining experience at Corrine.
SUGGESTIONS
I feel with a change in the menu presentation and a bit of allergy training, Corrine could do a lot better. The only thing that saved this review was the waiter being so helpful. I am not sure if I would say this is an allergy-safe restaurant without the knowledge and willingness of our waiter. My question would be, are all the waiters as helpful and knowledgeable, or willing to find the answers to the questions I/we needed to ask for our safety? If so, as long as you know the right things to look for and questions to ask, then an allergy sufferer could eat here without harm, as I did, but do so with caution.
MENU
The menu lacked allergen information and a separate allergy menu. The online menu may not reflect current offerings. There were no symbols or markings for the allergy sufferer, and no statements printed anywhere on the menu. I had to assume that nothing was going to be gluten-free unless I removed the gluten item and cross-contact was definite.
We had to make assumptions about gluten-free options.
TABLE
Our dining experience was top-notch at the restaurant. The tables were clean and set when we arrived. The menu was handed to us, but using a QR code for contactless ordering could be more convenient. Silverware was wrapped in clean napkins to prevent cross-contact. Separate plates were provided for different items, which was helpful. Condiments were served in individual cups, but it would be better to have ingredient labels on the bottles.
WAITER
The waiter was attentive and accommodating, making me feel comfortable with my order changes. She was knowledgeable about the menu items and offered her opinion when asked. While unsure about the dressing's ingredients, she was confident about the vinaigrette. However, she did not mention potential cross-contact risks with certain dishes.
